Bruket in Mitandersfors – Past and Present

In 1841, John Mitander arrived at the place which he later came to call Mitandersfors. It was there, where Bogsalven river runs into Varaldsjon lake. John later decided to build an iron foundry, mill and sawmill.

The ironworks produced iron bar and nails for export to Norway and, even today, you can see traces of the practice.  In the courtyard, at the front of the hotel, you can see an original nail hammer on anvil.

In the beautiful scenic surroundings of today, Bruket in Mitandersfors operates as an exclusive facility for conferences, activities and relaxation. You can choose from our list of exciting exhilarating activities or simply enjoy the peace and quietness of our area.
